Procédé pour combler des pores et/ou des microfissures présents à la surface d'un substrat en un métal oxydable tel que l'aluminium et ses alliages, le magnésium et ses alliages, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend l'opération consistant à soumettre ladite surface dudit substrat, au moins au niveau d'une partie ou de la totalité desdits pores et/ou desdites microfissures, à un traitement électrochimique d'anodisation pour développer sur cette surface une couche d'oxyde dudit métal. <IMAGE>
