Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0902152A1] The rotating door is mounted on a pivot and is rotated by manual pressure. A drive is fitted between the door and an electric motor and with a control circuit which monitors the speed at which the motor is driven by the door. The motor is operated to provide a controlled amount of braking torque if the door is rotated too fast. The motor is a DC motor with an inductive coupling and/or with a mechanical clutch. The drive comprises a chain drive or a gear train.
