Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0902164A1] The blade mounting in a gas turbine has cowl sections (40) which separate the blade mounting from the combustion chamber and form gas ducts (36). The ducts carry cooling gas flows, tangentially over the mounting platform (34) of each blade. Additional cooling ducts (42) are bored through the cowl supports and into the mounting platform. The ducts are either of constant diameter or can be tapered. The end of the cowl support is lipped in the direction of the mounting platform.
