[origin: EP0902564A1] Radio data information is transmitted as groups of digital bits in a group sequence at a radio frequency that is different from that of the frequency of a program that is being transmitted. The receiver switches between the two frequencies at a rate that does not affect normal audio reception. The digital data is read and stored in a memory and when the complete message is acquired can be accessed at a later point.
