Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0903482A2] The device has a bypass (7) with RPM-dependently controlled differential pressure valve (14). The bypass is closed and all the cooling water is passed through the heat conductor (8), during the warming-up phase or in a low engine temperature phase. With higher RPM, the valve opens and frees the bypass. The result is a volumetric division of the cooling water via the bypass and the heat conductor, dependent upon the position of the differential pressure valve.
