The device (1) includes a deep-freeze container (2) which is accessible through at least one aperture (7), and which comprises a heat-insulating outside wall (4), and a deep-freeze element (15) for cooling a reception space (5) of the deep-freeze container. The outside wall of the deep-freeze container is shaped in form of a round, hollow cylinder, whose coat surface area comprises a flattening (A) which extends parallel to a central axis (11) proceeding through the centre of the round base.

Ein Tiefkühlgerät (1) dient zur Bevorratung von Tiefkühlgut, insbesondere von abgepackten Lebensmitteln wie Speiseeis. Das Tiefkühlgerät (1) hat einen Tiefkühlbehälter (2), welcher über zumindest eine Entnahmeöffnung (7) zugänglich ist und eine wärmeisolierende Umfangswand (4) aufweist sowie ein Tiefkühlaggregat (15) zum Tiefkühlen des Aufnahmeraums (5) des Tiefkühlbehälters (2). Die Umfangswand (4) des Tiefkühlbehälters (2) ist in Form einer hohlzylinderförmigen, runden Grundform ausgebildet, deren Mantelfläche eine Abflachung (4) aufweist, die sich parallel zu einer durch den Mittelpunkt der runden Grundform verlaufenden Mittelachse (11) erstreckt. <IMAGE>
