[origin: EP0903963A2] The microwave oven is controlled from a control panel (16) that is marked with symbols (20-22) corresponding to different containers, and has control buttons (28-30) adjacent to each symbol. The control panel also has symbols indicating different temperature levels (T1,T2). The microwave has a memory that holds information to control operation of the magnetron to produce the desired temperature in the selected container.
