Abstract (en)
To wind a film wrapping round a cube-shaped stack (10) of materials, a film web (30) is laid at the base surface (12) of the stack . Press units (38,40,42,44) bear against the top and bottom sides (14,12) of the stack to compress it. The wrapping film is wound round the bottom and top surfaces of the stack , and also two side surfaces (16,18), and the wound film (30) is welded to the remaining film, and severed at the welded seam. The press units (38,40,42,44) are detached, so that the film wrapping is wound round the cube-shaped stack and at least one of the surfaces of the stack is covered by a double layer of the wrapping film.

Es wird ein Verfahren zum Umwickeln eines quaderartigen Stapels (10) ebener Gegenstände wie Zeitungen o.dgl. mit einer Folienbahn (30) beschrieben, wobei die Folienbahn (30) um den Stapel (10) derart herumgewickelt wird, daß sie mindestens eine Fläche, vorzugsweise die Grundfläche (12), des Stapels (10) doppelt bedeckt. <IMAGE>
