Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0905077A2] Rotation of the head (2) replaces the full tube (9) with an empty tube (8). Guides on the swing arm (20) control the path of the yarn (1) during the changeover. The arm carries a movable guide (23) to take the yarn out of the traverse guide (17) to the entrainment region (11) on the tube (8) and a fixed guide (24) to wind a bunch to secure the yarn end on the full bobbin. An Independent claim is also included for a winder with a swing arm (20) with yarn guides (23,24), operating in the gap (25) between the full bobbin (10) and the empty tube (8), which move the yarn to the entrainment region (11) without prior contact between the yarn and the empty tube.
