[origin: DE19623063A1] The invention relates to substituted cycloalkyl ketones of the formula (I), in which the symbols used have the meaning given in the description. Said compounds are produced in that a carboxylic acid halogenide of the formula (II), in which the symbols used have the meaning given in the description, is reacted with a malonic acid ester derivative of the formula (III), in which the symbols used have the meaning given in the description, in the presence of a base. The process has good yields and selectivity, one stage and easily produces substituted cycloalkyl ketones which are substituted twice in the alpha -position.
