[origin: EP0906781A2] Mixer blades have integral cleaning elements in the form of curved rods (13), rigidly attached to the mixer blade (11), whose cutting edges (18) sweep over the inner surface of the mixer drum in order to remove any adhering material. The radius of curvature of the rods matches that of the drum and the trailing edges are covered with elastomeric material that is in actual contact with the drum surface. The rods are further relieved from face (15) to face (16) with face (15) closer to the drum surface.
