[origin: WO9747530A1] The invention relates to a device for closing a container (5) with a pipe-shaped neck (1) which can be fastened or is fastened to said container (5). The top end of said neck is provided with a screw thread (2), and with a cover (3) screwable thereon. The cover (3) has a diameter region which is larger than the diameter of the neck (1) and is provided with a surrounding sealing tab (6). The device prevents the filling material from diffusing out and enables the emptying process to be simple and complete.
