[origin: WO9750069A1] A frame for inserting signboards has a rectangular rear plate (3) and holding strips (4) integrated in the rear plate and extending before the edges of the rear plate. The holding strips (4) are only provided on two opposite and parallel edges (5, 6) of the rear plate. A closing strip (9) which extends along at least one of the two remaining edges of the rear plate (3) is resiliently mounted on the rear plate and may be moved from a closing position (11) in which it laterally covers, at least up to the position of the holding strips (4), the space (10) located before the rear plate into which the signboards (2) may be inserted, and an open position (12) in which the closing strip (9) frees this space (10), enabling sign boards (2) to be inserted therein and removed therefrom. The closing strip(s) (9) are provided with or supported on an elastically flexible tongue for elastically mounting it on the rear plate (3). The side (15) of the elastic tongue away from the closing strip (9) is supported on or fixed to the rear plate (3).
