[origin: EP0908120A1] The rails to which shelves can be attached by means of carrying elements have specifically shaped slots. The rectangular shaped centre area of the slot is about a fifth to a tenth longer than the side parts and it is also slightly wider than each of the sides. The hook of the shelf carrying elements is inserted diagonally into the slot and then turned into a vertical position to be fixed.
