[origin: EP0908577A2] Profiled strips are secured to a wall with fasteners (40) and have grip flanges (34,36) which are gripped by grip flanges on the underside of each tile/wall panel. The tiles are fitted to the strips with a simple press action. A bead strip (44) is pressed between the tiles and locates in a retaining groove (42) on the profiled strip to form a waterproof seal between the tiles. The grip flanges of the support profile are elastic with a ratchet effect grip for the tiles. The tiles can be ceramic, metal or any other suitable material.
