Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0908671A1] Fuel is injected into the turbulence generator and supplied with the combustion air, forming a column of nebulised fuel surrounded by an air vortex. Fuel is burnt inside a burner provided with a turbulence generator (1), in which a conical column of liquid fuel (5) is nebulised and surrounded by an incoming spiraling flow of combustion air arriving at a tangent to the generator. Additional fuel is injected into the combustion air. At least one injection nozzle (8) is provided inside the turbulence generator to allow fuel to be injected in a coaxial direction. An Independent claim is also included for the burner.
