[origin: DE19626982C1] Once the relay system is mounted, the cap is not placed thereon from above, but is supplied upside down with its bottom (9a) facing downwards and filled with a predetermined amount of liquid casting resin (10). The relay system is then pressed, coil winding first, into the cap, so that the cast resin (10) completely encloses the coil winding. After hardening the cast resin, the coil winding is completely isolated from the contact system, so that no contact-damaging gas leaks can occur. At the same time, the whole system gains a high thermal resistance and mechanical stability, so that even surface-mounted connections or press-in pins may be used as relay connections.
