[origin: EP0909881A2] Seen in the longitudinal axis direction (12) of a camshaft (2) having inlet valve opening cams (4a, 4b) and exhaust control cams (6), an inlet opening cam is positioned on either side of the exhaust cam. Two inlet closing cams (5a, 5b) are provided on a second camshaft (3) parallel to the first. Exhaust cams are in the plane of movement of the exhaust transmission levers (10), which forms a symmetry plane for the valve gear. Inlet (9) and exhaust transmission levers are on a common shaft (27) and inlet levers are U-shaped.
