Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19719252A1] A hard-soldered flat tube evaporator is disclosed made of aluminium or an aluminium alloy, with a dual flow and one row in the air flow direction for a motor vehicle air conditioning system. A coolant distributor is provided at the inflow side on the inlet of individual flat tubes (2) or, in particular, on the inlet of groups of flat tubes (2). The flat tubes are extruded tubes having several chambers and zigzag blades (12) intercalated between them in a sandwich-like manner. According to the invention, the depth (B) of the evaporator amounts to maximum 50 mm.
