Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0911008A2] The wheelchair comprises a seat (6) with back-rest (8) and seat surface (7). The seat surface and back-rest are pivotally joined. A tensioner (14) produces tension force holding the seat surface and backrest in a bent position. The foot-rest (10) linked to the seat surface swivels freely and is held by tension force produced by a tensioner (15) in a bent position in relation to the seat surface. The contact surface (18) of the backrest in relation to the seat surface is movable and is held by a tensioning appliance (20). The tensioners (14,15,20) consist of tension springs. The rear strut of the chassis (1) is pivotally linked to a sliding guide (19). A linear guide (17) beneath the seat surface is fixed to the chassis.
