[origin: EP0911433A1] The yarn spinning process uses roving frames and ring spinners. The roving bobbins, produced at the roving frame (1), have an overall wound length of 460-560 mm (18-22 ins.) and a maximum wound diameter of 190-230 mm (7.5-9.0 ins.). The roving frame (1) has a multiple axis drive (4-7), with their various working components. The roving frame has an automatic doffer (9), to place the full roving bobbins in suspended bobbin trains at an overhead conveyor (3) which links the roving frames with the ring spinners (2). The suspended bobbin trains are moved into the creels of the ring spinners, or the roving bobbins are transferred (10) automatically from the overhead conveyor into the creels of the ring spinners.
