[origin: EP0911471A2] The positioner holds a door or window panel at a required angle, using an electromechanical device for continuous adjustment of the opening angle and a pair of mechanical brake pads (7,8), cooperating with a holding element (1) for the door or window panel. The brake pads are operated by an electric motor (9) controlled via an electronic evaluation device (14) with a movement sensor (13).
