Abstract (en)
The inclusion of embedded plastic strips inside the outer cover glass controls the colored appearance of the lamp unit. The indicator light for a vehicle comprises a lamp (2) and reflector (3) with a screen (4) arranged in front of the lamp, and a cover glass (7) in front of the screen. The cover glass has a series of parallel colored bars (8) on its surface which faces the screen. These bars are rectangular in section and alternate with spaces (9a) so that the cover glass presents a smooth surface on the outside. The screen includes a corresponding series of lens elements (5) which serve to direct the light from the lamp and reflector on to the spaces between the colored bars.

Feu de signalisation de véhicule automobile du type comprenant une lampe (2), un réflecteur (3), un écran (4) disposé devant la lampe et une glace (7) disposée devant l'écran (4), caractérisé en ce que la glace (7) comporte, sur sa face tournée en regard de l'écran (4), une série de barreaux colorés parallèles (8) à section sensiblement rectangulaire noyés en partie dans une épaisseur de matière plastique transparente constituant la glace (7) en ménageant entre chaque paire de barreaux (8) des intervalles (9a), tandis que l'écran (4) présente une face lisse (4b) et, sur l'autre face, une optique propre à canaliser les rayons lumineux émis par la lampe (2) vers les intervalles (9a). <IMAGE>
