[origin: EP0911707A1] Hair spring (1) is subjected to first general heat treatment and then a second heat treatment at 510-550 degrees Centigrade which is restricted to the outer spiral (16) and transition zone (28) up to an angle of 140 degrees from the outer fixing (20). A second heat treatment may be conveniently applied by laser beam.
