[origin: DE19747000C1] The ticket has at least one plastics layer, coated on one side with a self-adhesive mass, protected by a removable paper or foil layer. A printing ink between the plastics layer and the self-adhesive mass incorporates a fluorescent ink pigment which can be stimulated by IR or UV radiation, to provide a marking which can be detected from one side of the ticket, e.g. the ticket side edge. The printed markings may be provided as bar code lines which are detected as points of light at the edge of the ticket
