Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9801047A1] A fabric particularly suitable for producing highly visible safety garments is disclosed. The fabric consists of a pile of at least two mutually bonded fabric layers (2, 4) of which one (2) is made of natural fibres while the other (4) is made of a synthetic material. When the two layers (2, 4) are bonded together, the synthetic layer (4) is dyed in a highly visible colour specific only for the synthetic material. The two layers (2, 4) are bonded by means of a bonding yarn (6) made of synthetic material, and have adjacent meshes (8, 10) for reinforcing the high visibility of the dyed fabric surface.
