[origin: WO9745052A1] The invention relates to a motor-driven brush device with a drive shaft (8) on which can be fitted an essentially hollow cylindrical interchangeable brush head, where the drive shaft (8) has an essentially circumferentially operating dog (19) operating in conjunction with a radially inwardly directed drive projection on the brush body, where the dog (19) widens towards the drive projection in the direction of the shaft to achieve a wedge action in co-operation with the drive projection and the dog (19) if formed in the shaft direction opposite a bearing surface (29) to operate together with an inner supporting ring on the brush body. To improve the handling of a motor-driven brush device of this kind while maintaining its reliability, it is proposed that the dog (19) be not or only partly integrated into the bearing surface (29) but, from one plane of the resting surface (29), form a guide surface (23) which projects back from the resting surface (29) viewed in the direction of the shaft.
