The modular operating table top (10) mounted on the column (12) has a central panel (14) joined to the column to which additional panels are connected. Two opposite facing side edges of the central panel have first coupling elements (18). The additional panel parts comprise first, second and third panel segments (7;5,6;1,4). The first panel segments have first couplings (22), and second couplings (23) on a facing side edge. The second panel segments have second couplings, and a facing side edge has third couplings. The third panel segments have third couplings. The first coupling is detachably joined to the first coupling element; the second coupling is joined to the first and second coupling element; and the third coupling is joined to the first, second and third coupling element.

Um bei einem modularen OP-Tischsystem mit einer OP-Tischsäule und einer darauf gelagerten modular aufgebauten OP-Tischplatte, welche ein zentrales mit der OP-Tischsäule verbundenes Plattenteil sowie an das zentrale Plattenteil ankoppelbare zusätzliche Plattenteile umfaßt, den bekannten OP-Tisch so weiterzubilden, daß trotz der Modularität und der damit verbundenen Vielzahl von Anbau- und Umbaumöglichkeiten unzulässige OP-Tischkonfigurationen vermieden werden, wird vorgeschlagen, daß das zentrale Plattenteil an zwei sich gegenüberliegenden Seitenkanten erste Koppelelemente aufweist, daß die zusätzlichen Plattenteile erste, zweite und dritte Plattensegmente umfassen, wobei die ersten Plattensegmente erste Koppelvorrichtungen und an einer hierzu gegenüberliegenden Seitenkante zweite Koppelelemente aufweisen, wobei die zweiten Plattensegmente zweite Koppelvorrichtungen und eine hierzu gegenüberliegende Seitenkante dritte Koppelelemente aufweisen, wobei die dritten Plattensegmente dritte Koppelvorrichtungen aufweisen und wobei die Koppelelemente und Koppelvorrichtungen so ausgebildet sind, daß ausschließlich folgende lösbare Verbindungen herstellbar sind: Erste Koppelvorrichtung mit erstem Koppelelement; zweite Koppelvorrichtung mit erstem und zweitem Koppelelement; dritte Koppelvorrichtung mit erstem, zweitem und drittem Koppelelement. <IMAGE>
