Abstract (en)
A device (16) for the distribution of slag powder on the surface of a bath of molten metal (10) in a continuous casting mould (2), of the type incorporating a receiving element (30) able to be fed by a powder feed device (14) and a means for distributing (34) the powder over the surface of the bath. The powder receiving element (30) incorporates a first end (32), close to the bath (10), extending as far as straight above a wall (4B) of the mould (2) in contact with the bath and is able to receive, at the level of a receiving zone (46) globally horizontal, a dose of powder (48). The means (34) for distributing the powder are able to eject, over the surface of the bath (10), the dose of powder (48) following a direction horizontal. An installation incorporating this device for distributing slag powder onto the surface of a bath of molten metal in a continuous casting mould is also claimed.

Le dispositif de distribution (16) comprend un élément de réception de poudre (30) pouvant être alimenté par un dispositif d'alimentation de poudre (18), et des moyens de répartition (34) de poudre au-dessus de la surface du bain. L'élément de réception de poudre (30) est apte à recevoir au niveau d'une zone de réception (46) globalement horizontale, une dose de poudre (48). Les moyens de répartition (34) de poudre, qui sont aptes à éjecter au-dessus de la surface du bain (10) la dose de poudre (48) selon une direction sensiblement horizontale, comprennent un organe de raclage (34) mobile selon une direction de déplacement entre une position rétractée par rapport au bain et une position avancée par rapport au bain (10), ledit organe de raclage (34) comprenant une surface de poussée (36) apte à éjecter ladite dose de poudre pendant son déplacement entre lesdites positions rétractée et avancée. <IMAGE>
