Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0913531A2] The device is used in a pipe (5) containing flowing water, and has a permanent magnet (6) integrated in a hose-like part (7) of elastomeric material placed in the pipe. The magnet is positioned to form an air-filled chamber (9) with the wall of the pipe, to acts as damper for flow-generated noise. The magnet may be a powder embedded into the hose-like part material. The part has outer ring projections (8) to engage sealing on the pipe wall.
