[origin: WO9849087A1] The manipulator arm (11) of the present invention mounts over and under a pair of beam shaped chassis members (15) in a vehicle, which typically extend rearwardly of a cab (13). The manipulator arm (11) is carried to the side of a waste collection vehicle and underneath the vehicle's waste collection bin (16). The actuation of the arm (11) is by a first control which extends the arm (11), a second control which induces a pair of grabber arms to swing down at a 45 DEG angle to grasp the individual waste bin (109), and a third control to angularly and pivotally raise the extended arm (11) to and perhaps beyond a vertical position to dump the individual waste container (109) from a position over the vehicle's waste collection bin (16). The third control is limited by a pair of cam operated limit valves (17, 19) which cause the individual waste bin (109) to be slowed during its travel.
