[origin: EP0915001A1] The connector (3) connects the wagon boxes (I, II) of closed rail vehicle units to each other. The connector, based on the principle of a rubber bellows, is fitted into the wagon box structure cross section. The power transmission is arranged so that when a specified load limit is overstepped, reversibly and irreversibly deformable regions of the device are pulled together in a controlled deformation, augmented by the energy absorption zones of the wagon box ends. The ends (1, 2) of the wagon boxes are made in the form of ring frames.
