[origin: EP0915018A1] The process for filling sacks (2") involves sending the sacks in timed strokes in a hanging position from the filling point to the subsequent points. At the closing point, the sacks are sewn up by a sewing device (17) moving parallel to the feed direction and movable against it by an outside drive. The filling and closing device includes a sewing device which sews the closing thread in a direction opposite to that in which the sack is being transported.
