Abstract (en)

A pedestal (2) anchors track rails (6) in a ballast-free construction. This is inserted into a sleeper boot comprising elastic sidewalls and a base. The joint between the pedestal and the upper edge of the boot is sealed off. The booted pedestal forms a unit inserted into a corresponding recess in the surface structure. A novel feature concerns the surrounding groove (11) of the new pedestal. The boot (3) is one-piece and has a sealing bead (9) at its upper edge. This is bent over to anchor flexibly into this groove. Preferably the boot is made of crosslinked rubber, especially styrene butadiene rubber (SBR). Its bead can be inserted at any time, i.e. not necessarily during manufacture, into a matching profile (12) in the pedestal. The profile is thermoplastic, hardened plastic or metallic.
