Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0915211A2] The outlet valve for a cistern has the lifting mechanism (4) generally within the overflow pipe (3) area. The base valve (2) is held open during flushing by a retainer (5) controlled by a float (50). The lifting mechanism is concentric in the outflow fitting (20) of the base valve, with two opposing claws (40) to grip an inner bead of the overflow pipe. For flushing, a press unit (41) is at the upper side of the cistern (1) with an operating movement against the working movement of the lifting mechanism.
