Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0916573A2] The inflation process is for a raft with an inflatable hull (1,2) round a cockpit and two or more supports (8,9) for the roof skin (11). One support (8) is first inflated sufficiently to make it rigid. The other support is then inflated so that it too becomes rigid and capable of bearing weight, with some delay after the first one. The raft for inflation has an overflow valve or throttle (14,15) through which the second support (9) is supplied from the first support.
