[origin: EP0916614A2] The central magazine (11), for bobbin sleeves, has a sleeve transfer unit (70) with a grip carrier (16) on a vertical movement path. The carrier is fitted with at least one controlled bobbin sleeve grip (17). The central magazine has a control unit, with a programmable control system dedicated to the central magazine, and an exchangeable sleeve store (51) in a central unit (50) fitted with columns (12-15) of sleeves each with loading shafts (22). The grip carrier (16) has a number of neighboring sleeve grips with defined control, with a separate grip for each column of sleeves. The sensor is a light scanner. The central unit has an input keyboard (43). The control is connected to the sensors at the grip carrier (16) and to a reversible drive for the vertical positioning of the grip carrier. The loading shafts have side guide bars (27, 28) to guide the ends of the cylindrical or conical bobbin sleeves (8).
