Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0916722A2] A composition comprising a cleansing paste solidified with a soap is new. Also claimed is a process for preparing the composition, comprising the following steps (where percentages are based on total weight of composition): (a) mixing 40-60% of the paste with 10-30% of a polyhydric aliphatic alcohol; (b) heating the mixture to 50-90 degrees C while stirring; (c) adding 1.8-9.1% of a 12-18C fatty acid and mixing for 1-30 min; (d) adding a solution of 0.5-3.5% NaOH in 5-30% demineralised water; (e) stirring the mixture at 50-90 degrees C for 5-120 min; and (f) cooling the mixture to room temperature, preferably in a mould.
