[origin: EP0916796A2] To produce reinforced hollow profiles, at least one limit stop is placed at least temporarily at the base body (2) at the given end position (5) at the inner surface (7) of the hollow chamber (3), before insertion of the reinforcement profile (4) into the hollow chamber (3). The reinforcement profile (4) is moved through the hollow chamber (3) as far as the limit stop. When the profile (4) is in place, the limit stop is removed.
