The vending machine has a device (2) for reception of bank notes in combination with a device (3) for reception of electronic purse chip cards, both devices coupled to a microprocessor control supervising the vending operation. The major part of the required charge may be provided via the introduced bank notes, the remainder of the charge extracted from the electronic purse chip card.

Ein Einzahlungsautomat (1) mit einer Einrichtung zur Annahme von Geldscheinen (2) wird durch die Kombination dieser Einrichtung zur Annahme von Geldscheinen mit einer Einrichtung zur Annahme von Geldkarten (3) so optimiert, daß keine Einzahlungsmöglichkeit für Münzen mehr benötigt wird und dadurch der Einzahlungsautomat mechanisch besonders einfach wird und die Hauptquelle für auftretende Reparaturen beseitigt wird. <IMAGE>
