Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19745449A1] The rotary piston device has at least two rotary pistons running round in an annular cavity, bounding at least one expansion chamber in the cavity at front and back. The rotary pistons are connected by a transmission device to a common torque transmission shaft (22) so that the volume of the expansion chambers in the running direction is alternately contracted and expanded. The transmission device between the shaft and at least one of the pistons has at least one cranked cardan joint (23,24) which is not compensated in respect of its cycling rotary phase shift.
