[origin: WO9802260A1] A bordering device (1) has a bordering head (6) with one or several bordering tools (8, 9) subdivided into segments (12 to 16) and having a bordering edge (11) continuous in the working position. The bordering device (1) further has a reciprocating drive to generate the bordering stroke and an adjusting device (22) for retracting and extending the segments (12 to 16). The adjusting device (22) has a servo-drive (23) which moves all segments (12 to 16) at the same time. The segments have adapted contact surfaces (17) with a wedge angle alpha from 20 DEG to 50 DEG . The servo-drive (23) is preferably designed as a crank mechanism.
