Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0919309A2] The method involves feeding a further set of sheet metal bands (60) in the same or a parallel band plane from a second set of supply rollers (28,22) after producing a first rod mesh roll. The bands are fed essentially opposite to the direction of motion of the first bands through a fitting zone (56), fitted with rods (52) by the same machine as the first mesh and rolled in a second set of roller stations (40,36). After manufacture of the second mesh roll the unrolling of the bands from the first set commences. An Independent claim is also included for a machine for implementing the method.
