[origin: EP0919501A2] The packaging device has a loose stack (1) of printed items, received from a feed conveyor (2), aligned on a packaging table (3) via a series of alignment plates (4,5), before compression via a compression device (6) and ejection via an ejection device (7) with at least two ejection arms (9a,9b,9c), periodically moved in an endless path (8). Electrostatic electrodes for charging the handled stack may be associated with the alignment plates (4,5) and the compression device (6).
