[origin: EP0919614A1] A process for producing detergent particles with a high bulk density comprises mixing powdered ingredients with liquid ingredients and simultaneously compressing the mixture and converting into rounded particles. Production of detergent particles comprises mixing powdered ingredients with any liquid ingredients and simultaneously compressing the mixture and converting into rounded particles at a Froude's number of 20-80; where Froude's number = w<2>.R/g; (w = the angular velocity; r = tool radius; and g = acceleration due to gravity).
