Abstract (en)
The polishing head has at least one arm (17) with an abrasive surface (18). It contains a central gear (11) driving at least one satellite gear (12) with an eccentric hole for a journal (15) which is able to move relative to receiving members (13,14) to convert the rotary motion of the central gear into a reciprocating movement by the arm. The receiving members for the journal are in the form of large (13) and small (14) cylinders with orthogonal axes, the small one having a journal drive cavity. The cylinders are designed to provide several degrees of liberty to the movement of the journal, with the small diameter cylinder turning inside the large one and adapting to the position of the journal and allowing it to turn in the drive cavity.

Dans une tête tangentielle pour lustrer le granit ou le grès émaillé, on prévoit un nouveau type de mécanisme utilisé pour imprimer un mouvement pendulaire à l'abrasif, caractérisé par la présence d'une série d'engrenages satellites (12) mis en mouvement par un engrenage central (11), satellites qui présentent un trou excentrique avec, à l'intérieur, un joint à croisillon qui imprime le mouvement pendulaire à un tourillon (15), lequel à son tour, le transmet au bras (17) et par conséquent à l'abrasif (18). <IMAGE>
