A combination of a work table having a smooth upper surface (1), upon which air suction or delivery holes (6;30) are distributed, at least the majority of the holes surrounded by a magnetic portion (3;34), an electromagnet or a ferromagnetic surface, and a plurality of support devices (9), each with a lower section that has at least one part made of a ferromagnetic or magnetic material (10), designed to interact with the corresponding magnetic, electromagnetic or ferromagnetic parts (3;34) of the work table (5;35), and a seal (11), flexible and projecting at the perimeter, designed to adhere to the surface (1) of the work table (5;35). <IMAGE>
