[origin: EP0921258A2] The frame of casting material containing fillers, preferably a polymer concrete window or door frame, contains a heavy filler (7) such as sand or gravel and a heat insulating lighter filler (8) such as hollow glass beads or expanded clay. The light filler is present in a higher concentration in the frame border region (3) than in the building interior and exterior edge regions (1,2). An Independent claim is also included for production of the frame. The cast material comprises a cold setting mixture of synthetic resin, hardener and limestone powder.
