Abstract (en)
The panel consists of a core (1) and at least one layer of lead (2A) acting as an anti-radiation screen. It also has a thin layer (3) of a heat conducting material with a high melting point, located between the lead layer and the core, designed to disperse the heat produced when the lead layer melts on being subjected to an accidental increase in temperature. The heat conducting layer is of copper and less than 0.6 mm thick to limit the stresses on the core; it is stuck to the lead layer with adhesive. The core of the panel is made from a high-density timber material, e.g. compressed particles. Where it has two layers of lead on either side of the core they are at least 0.4 mm thick.

L'invention concerne un panneau coupe-feu blindé contre des rayonnements du type constitué d'un stratifié formé de la zone la plus exposée au feu vers la zone la moins exposée au feu dudit panneau, d'au moins une couche de plomb (2A) formant un écran anti-rayonnement et d'une âme (1) constituant la structure de résistance du panneau. Ce panneau est caractérisé en ce que le stratifié comprend en outre au moins une couche (3) de faible épaisseur d'un matériau thermiquement conducteur à point de fusion élevé disposé entre la couche de plomb (2a) et l'âme (1) du stratifié de manière à répartir la chaleur produite lors de la fusion de la couche de plomb lorsqu'elle est soumise à une élévation de température accidentelle.
