[origin: EP0921597A1] The contact spring (10) has a rectangular frame providing a spring arm base (16) with a terminal element (18) at one end for an electrical conductor lead and a pair of spring arms (20) at the opposite end. The spring arms have co-operating contact surfaces (22) and are angled away from one another at their free ends to provide an insertion gap with an opening angle of at least 30 degrees. The contact surfaces of the spring arms are formed to provide a pair of domed contacts.
